Good morning. Turning to news from across the Commonwealth.Demands for transparency regarding the health of United States Senator Mitch McConnell are intensifying on the campaign trail. Democratic Senate nominee Charles Booker publicly called for more details on the eighty-four-year-old senator's current capacity to serve following his hospitalization three weeks ago. The pressure comes shortly after Governor Andy Beshear sent a formal letter to McConnell's staff requesting an official wellness update, stating that continuing media speculation is unfair to Kentuckians. Booker is currently running to fill the open Senate seat against Republican Congressman Andy Barr this November.Meanwhile, federal law enforcement agents have executed a major raid in Harlan County, taking one man into custody. Members of the United States Marshals Service removed Darrell Carnahan from his home in the community of Loyall following a multi-agency trafficking investigation. Authorities have officially booked Carnahan into the Bell County Detention Center on multiple counts related to both human and drug trafficking.In legal updates, the Kentucky Department of Corrections has confirmed that a convicted violent offender will be released from the state reformatory late this month. Spokesperson Morgan Hall stated that Ronald Exantus will finish serving his full criminal sentence on July twenty-ninth. Exantus was found guilty but mentally ill on assault charges following a deadly twenty-eighteen attack on a family in Woodford County.In Jackson County, a woman has been sentenced to five years in federal prison on arson charges.
